ARR - Regional Development Agency in Ostrava

The ARR - Regional Development Agency, a.s. was established as the pilot project of the European Union in 1993 with the objective of assisting with the restructuring of the North Moravian and Silesian region.

ARR mission is to contribute to the co-ordination of projects for the economic and social transformation of the region to regional development by way of the following:

  • to act as a developer for some regional projects
  • to support the development of various forms of enterpreneurship
  • to provide information services for municipalities and institutions
  • to act as a regional centre for international co-operation purposes,
  • to participate in the establishment and development of regional policy.
  • To be able to provide the above services, the ARR uses the resources of the European Union international assistance funds (Phare, bilateral assistance), public national sources, those of districts and communities and some private funding.
