 EUROPE AUTO PARTS

Is a project selected by the European Commission and financed up to 75% by the Enlargement Directorate-General.


 OBJECTIVE

To promote, foster, and help the business co-operation in the sector of car components in an enlarged Europe, as a idoneous strategy to take advantage of the opportunities that the enlargement offers. Business co-operation is often revealing as an idoneous strategy to access the enlargement markets, carry out transfers of technology and product and process innovation.


 ACTIONS

The project will focus on the organisation of match-making events in the framework of International Trade Fairs as key platforms for initiating negotiations and for creating productive co-operative activities

Fairs involved in Europe Auto parts:

• Motortec 11th-15th May 2005 Madrid, Europe Autoparts meetings: 12-13 May.
• Equipauto 13th -18th October 2005 París.
• Autotechnica Benelux April 2006 Brussels.
• Automechanika 12th-17th September 2006 Frackfurt.

 EUROPE AUTO PARTS METHODOLOGY

The approach involves:

- Promoting and enhancing business co-operation as a strategy to access enlargement markets.
- Experiencing a new way of doing business co-operation:

• “interactive match-making events”: interactive calendars of matchmaking events, catalogues and agendas, thanks to the web portal, a key tool for the project “www.europeautoparts.com
• International trade fairs as framework of the face-to-face meetings,
• Co-ordination with Fairs’ organisations specially in logistic and promotional affairs.
• spatial and time flexibility, meetings will take place either in a business meeting point in the physical area of the fair or in the company’s stand. Companies will also choose the time they dedicate to co-operation.
• customised advice on site.
• Software that will help to do the matching.

- Advising to companies through experts’ networking and during all the business co-operation process.
- A well built partnership formed by 15 EICs.
- Co-ordination and networking with other projects from the same call.
- Opening the project to the overall EIC network in order that all the EICs can participate with companies in the match-making events.


 AUTOPARTS SECTOR

• Drive group (for engine, transmission, exhaust);
• Chassis group (for axles, steering, brakes, wheels);
• Body group (for body, equipment, hardware, fittings);
• Electrics group (for automotive electrics, automotive electronics, lamps and cables);
• Standard parts group (threads and locking elements, sealing rings,roller bearings);
• Reconditioned parts

Systems and modules.
Accessories and tunning.
Repair and automotive services.

 ACCOMPANYING ACTIVITIES

- Awareness raising and dissemination activities, addressed at the SMEs.

Promotional material, workshops and press campaigns will sensitize SMEs in the sector of car components about the business co-operation, will
disseminate the match-making events and the technical services offered by the partners.

- Specialised technical assistance services during all the process of co-operation.

Assistance offered to companies from the initial to the final stage: analysis of the company capacity for an international business activity, design and definition of a Strategic Plan, definition of the own co-operation profile, screening of the company, market information adapted to the own needs, financial advice, selection of the strategy, design of the potential partner profile, partner search, support and host the negotiation, advice on contracts and follow-up.

- Training actions. It will be offered training on business co-operation as a strategy directed to internationalisation, promotion of investments, transfer of technology and process and product innovation; Other subjects will be IT tools that help the co-operation; models of contracts and the sector in the selected markets.

- Specialised reports on business co-operation potential and opportunities in the sector of car components in the enlarged European Union.
